Klezmerson
About Artist
Klezmerson was founded in 2003 by composer and multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Shwartz, with a vision to reinterpret klezmer music through a contemporary, Mexican lens. Rooted in the traditional Jewish sounds of Eastern Europe, the band fuses these melodies with rhythms and textures from Mexico, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Balkans— infused with elements of progressive rock, jazz, psychedelia, and electronic music. The result is a bold, multicultural, and emotionally charged sonic journey.
The Story Behind the Music
Klezmerson has collaborated extensively with legendary New York composer John Zorn, releasing three acclaimed albums on his Tzadik label: Siete, Amon (Masada Book of Angels), and Tiferet (Book of Beriah).

The band has taken their vibrant sound to stages around the world—from New York’s Village Vanguard to the Sarajevo Jazz Fest, captivating audiences with their genre-bending performances.
